Dispatcher
Dispatch means "to attend to rapidly with promptness and efficiency." This leads us right into the role of the dispatcher in the Oconomowoc Silver Streak office. A dispatcher's role is to communicate with drivers, schedule rides, and answer the phone with efficiency and promptness.
Duties:
- Answer the phone
- Make/cancel appointments
- Communicate with drivers via the two-way radio system
- Sell tickets
Qualities:
- Have a helpful attitude. Answer calls enthusiastically and provide all necessary information to help people plan their trip, learn about Waukesha ID numbers and share that information.
- Exhibit patience. Be patient, flexible and accommodating, yet firm in enforcing Oconomowoc Silver Streak rules. Listen with compassion and take time to resolve issues.
- Be organized. Balance your personal qualities with effective organizational skills. Utilize our system to input and access necessary information in a timely and accurate manner.

Driver
We have primary and backup drivers on a morning and afternoon shifts who coordinate with dispatchers to provide safe transportation to all of our riders.
Duties:
- Inspect vehicles before, during and after shift
- Communicate with dispatch to receive shift schedule to know customer information, destination, and fare for each appointment.
- Arrive on time to customer's address.
- Assist, when appropriate, the ambulatory customers with walkers into the vehicle and out of the vehicle.
Qualities:
- Timely. Arrive to shifts and appointments at scheduled times.
- Exhibit patience. Be patient, flexible and accommodating, yet firm in enforcing Oconomowoc Silver Streak rules. Listen with compassion and take time to resolve issues.
- Attention to detail. Inspect the vehicles and assist riders when necessary.
